Jeddah Economic Forum 2008
Fiona attended the JEF 08 as a member of the inaugural Australian Investment Mission, and was the first Australian business woman to attend at this level.

Endeavour Executive Award
Dr Fiona Hill has been awarded by the Australian Government an Endeavour Executive Award to spend time with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and in particular with the Khadija Bint Khuwailad Centre, to develop strategies for promoting trade between Australia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Endeavour is a prestigious scholarship programme showcasing the excellence of Australia's education, science and training sectors.

Euphrates Publishing
Almanar Consultancy has established Euphrates Publishing to promote dissemination of a greater variety of resources about the Arab World and Islamic Sciences. Euphrates Publishing launched its first title with Sojourn in Syria (ISBN 978-0-646-49777-8), an illustrated volume of essays highlighting aspects of Syria that are less commonly spoken of, and marking the celebration of Damascus Arab Cultural Capital 2008.

Intercultural and diversity management training
Almanar Consultancy and Managing Differences are now offering intercultural and diversity management training programs for government, corporate, and community sectors in the Arabian Gulf.

Special Visits to Arab Countries
